Mike Madin

I created AcademicInfo in 1998 as an online directory of educational resources freely available on the Internet. As a student of comparative religion at the University of Washington and later as a technical services specialist at the Gallagher Law Library also at the University of Washington, I witnessed the lack of quality directories of authoritative educational Internet resources and created AcademicInfo to fill this void.

My blog will cover trends and general observations from the online education community.

Karyn Romeis

She is currently studying towards a Master's degree in education, writing a dissertation on the impact of social media on the professional practice of a learning professional.

She has been in the field of learning and development for more than two decades, and is showing no signs of tiring of it. She describes herself as 'a complete learning geek with a tendency to wild-eyed handwaving'. She is passionate about learner empowerment, the lifelong and life-wide learning journey, and just in time performance support. She has experience of the full learning cycle and a wide range of delivery methodologies and approaches.

She is married, with two teenage sons and has a wide range of interests with nowhere near enough hours in the day to pursue them all to her satisfaction! Her contribution to Academicinfo majors on book reviews and must-read blog posts that address the field of learning and teaching.
